Johnson will present RECASAS at the NAWE Conference as part of the session <strong>\u201cThe Business of Writing.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Her presentation, <strong>\u201cWriting Outside Clinical Frameworks: Narrative and Community in RECASAS,\u201d<\/strong> explores reading, writing and storytelling as community practices outside clinical frameworks.<\/p>\n<p>At RECASAS, people are invited to write without having their words assessed or placed within a predetermined story of diagnosis, treatment and recovery. The starting point is to make room for people to find their own language for their experiences. Writing can remain open, imaginative and unfinished.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation will also consider what happens when stories are read, written and discussed together.
