What’s it about?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Discover the power of words \u2013 in community.
In this open group, we\u2019ll read short literary texts together \u2013 poems, microtexts, or excerpts from longer works \u2013 and let them inspire our own writing.
After reading, we\u2019ll take time to reflect and share impressions. Then we\u2019ll write side by side for 20\u201330 minutes \u2013 drawing from words, phrases, or whatever is stirring within us.<\/p>\n

The focus isn\u2019t on writing technique, but on personal experience, a sense of connection, and the sparks words can ignite in us \u2013 especially for people who have been through difficult experiences, and for anyone seeking new perspectives.<\/p>\n

At the end, anyone who wants to can share what they wrote during the session \u2014 but it\u2019s just as welcome to simply listen. Sharing is always voluntary.<\/p>\n

Participation is free – and no registration is required.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The writing program \u201cRead. Write. Share.\u201d<\/em> takes place in collaboration with the Berlin Central and Regional Library (ZLB) and artecom, as part of the Sunday opening program at the Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek.<\/p>\n

About the facilitator<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Ingrid E. Johnson<\/a> is a German-American, founder of RECASAS. Reading and writing have helped her through difficult times. Writing in community gives her a different source of inspiration and strength \u2013 and this is exactly the experience she wants to make possible for others.<\/p>\n
